Mammoth Dig, Another Adventure with Daddy

One of the many adventures Mitch took Clare on this summer was to a mammoth dig located in the Wenas, which is located in Selah about 20 minutes from our house. Mitch was a little dissappointed in the site since he didn't get to see any large bones. Clare and him still had a good time even though it was over 100.

Riding the Carousel

Clare just loves riding her rocking horse, mechanical horses at stores, and now you can add carousels to the list. Clare went on the carousel at least a handful of times, while we were in Spokane. Any time she saw the carousel she had to go on a ride.

Congratulations Daddy!

Mitch just finished his Master's. On Thursday, he had to present his project that he has been working on the entire school year. His final project was approximately 80 pages. It took a lot of work and time but he is finally done. I'm so proud of him and all that he has achieved. He is so dedicated to his family and has spent several late nights working on his project to accomodate our busy schedules. He has taken on more than his share of parenting, which usually includes dropping and picking Clare up from daycare each day, cooking dinner, and helping me around the house. Especially, over the last three months due to me being pregnant and trying to study for the CPA exam. I'm so proud of all the things he has accomplished. He has just one more obstacle to overcome before he officially can become an administrator. This next school year he will be doing his internship while teaching full-time.

Pool Time

Clare just loves to swim even if the water is freezing, which according to Daddy it was. On Sunday, we went to the Mahugh's house to swim and have dinner. It was a lot of fun. Mitch works with Beth and has watched Clare for us on numerous occasions.

Happy 4th of July!

We spent the 4th of July resting and spending time with our family of 3 after a busy month of June. Daddy barbequed some great ribs for us. Great Grandma had bought Clare a special outfit for the 4th, however, we didn't wear it until church the next day. As you can tell, it isn't the easiest outfit to keep clean but she looks pretty adorable in it.
Hurry, take the picture I'm saying cheese.
I love sitting in my lawn chair.

Lake Chelan

We went to Lake Chelan for three days to spend time with Mitch's Grandpa and Grandma Richards. It was a lot of fun and we got to rest. Daddy and Clare went swimming in the pool, which Clare loved jumping from the side and even let Daddy put her completely under. We had great food and enjoyed visiting with them. We also enjoyed some time playing in sand at the beach. On our last night there Clare decided she would walk straight into Lake Chelan even though the water was freezing cold. The only thing that stopped her was the fact that a small wave knocked her face down and Daddy had to pull her out. She didn't even cry. We are definitely going to have to teach her to swim. Hopefully, this will be the last Summer she has ear plugs.
