Week 9-11 Update

I apologize for not updating Clare's blog sooner. It has been rather hectic the last couple of weeks for us. We are finally starting to get in a routine since I have been back to work for 3 weeks now. Things have gotten a little easier but they are still pretty hard to leave Clare. I definitely enjoy the weekends. Fridays are really hard for me because by the end of the week I really miss Clare.

Clare is changing everyday and is developing quite the personality. She is very determined and pretty easy going for the most part except when she wants to eat or is tired. Her transition to daycare has gone really well and she enjoys all the attention she gets from her daycare friends during the day. They entertain her all day, which is nice because Clare sleeps at least 7 to 9 hours straight each night.

Clare is pretty healthy and already weighs 14 pounds. She gained almost a pound in a little over 1 week. She just loves to eat. Clare has started to really make sounds and smiling a lot. She enjoys sitting in her swing, talking to her duck, and sucking on her binky, which she entertains herself doing this. We are trying to work on her belly time. In fact, the other night I found her laying on her side in the crib. I think it will be only a matter of time before she rolls over. She definitely misses her Mommy and on the weekends the only person she wants for the most part is her Mommy. It makes me feel so good. One of my fears going back to work was that she wouldn't want me as much but I think she wants me even more now that I'm back to work. Well, it is getting late and I need to go to bed while the little one is sleeping.

Weekend At Grandma and Grandpa's Millican

We spent the night at Grandma and Grandpa Millican's in Moses Lake. I did so good riding in the car. It puts me right to sleep right away, plus my dog Gage rides by me in the back seat. On Friday night, I got to meet my Great Grandma and Grandpa Klein and the Saturday we went to Moses Lake. There were so many people holding and playing with me. I got to see my two uncles and Aunt Bailey. It was so fun going to my first softball game on Sunday. I even rode a rocking horse for the first time.

I was pretty tired from all the excitement Sunday afternoon. Plus, if you couldn't tell I had just finished eating so I was really content.
My Mom put me on the rocking horse for the first time. I wasn't quite sure what to think of it.

I liked riding the horse with my Mom.

One of my favorite things to do is ride facing out in the Baby Bjourn.
Gage really enjoys playing on the beach at Grandma's house. I can't wait until I can make sand castles with her.
Gage really enjoys swimming in the Moses Lake. Maybe this summer I can go in the water with him.

My Grandpa Vern thinks I'm pretty special. I definitely know who to ask if I want candy in the future.

My Grandma can't get enough of me. She would rock and hold me all day long if my Mommy would let me.

Spending Time With My Uncles

I went to my first softball game last weekend. My Uncle Lee was playing on a team from his work. I had so much fun riding in the Baby Bjourn and sitting in the outfield. The weather was really warm and I enjoyed watching the action. I even got a little nap in.

My Uncle Lee plays left field so my Daddy and Uncle Clancey sat in the outfield to tease him.

My Uncles are already teaching me how to play video games.

My Uncle Clancey does such a good job holding and rocking me.
My Uncle Lee does a good job entertaining me that is until I start to cry.

Meeting My Great-Grandparents

Last weekend I got to meet my Great Grandpa Corky and Great Grandma Leola. They came all the way from Tucson, Arizona, to meet me. I got really spoiled. Great Grandma brought me lots of pretty clothes and even baked me some yummy cookies. Some day I will get to eat the cookies myself, but for now I will let my Mom and Dad have some.

I really liked my Great Grandpa.
